PRIMARY - KEY STAGES 1 & 2 :

In the Primary Department, at KIES, we build on the work done in the Early Years Department. We strive to create a positive learning environment in which students are taught the skills that are required for them to work confidently, independently and collaboratively. Children are encouraged to be resilient and take responsibility for their own learning. Class sizes are arranged to ensure greater personal attention to every pupil’s learning needs. We deliver our English Curriculum using quality texts to enhance vocabulary and develop creative writing skills.  Textbooks are only one of the resources available to deliver the Curriculum, a varied range of other activities are also used to deliver the teaching and learning including practical problem solving activities, online interactive learning and investigative learning. We follow and deliver lessons based on the National Curriculum for England. The Curriculum we provide meets the needs of the individual child and is adapted to the needs of international learners.
