1. Will there be after school classes?
No, the accelerated programme is embedded in the normal school timetable; however, occasionally there may be an after school class.

2. What are the key benefits?
This programme is designed for groups who want to focus on a limited number of subjects over a period of an academic year. The qualifications you achieve are identical to the IGCSEs taken at the end of Year 11.

3. Are there any drawbacks?
Due to the intensive nature of this programme, the students enrolled in the accelerated programme will not be able to attend the following courses: Art, ICT, French, Business and Economics.

4. What are the costs?
Each subject will cost KWD 150.This fee needs to be paid at the beginning of the academic year along with the first school fees instalment. The IGCSE examination fees vary according to subject and are paid separately in February 2023.

 

5. What if I change my mind?
It happens! If you change your mind after submitting the options it may be possible to change them until 31st October 2022.

 

6. Will I get my money back?
50% of the accelerated learning fees will be credited to your yearly school fees account. This facility is available until 31st October 2022.

7. If I find the accelerated programme too demanding can I switch back to the normal 2 year programme?
Yes, it is possible to do this. You have to contact your head teacher to discuss your next step.

8. What if I am enrolled in the 2 year programme and decide to switch to the accelerated programme?
Yes, you can transfer to the accelerated programme but no later than 31st October. This is a highly intensive programme and every lesson counts.
