Parent meetings will take place on a regular basis before exams and their outcome will be reported to all parents in January and June after the exams and assessments. Parents are able to make appointments to see teaching staff through the Main Reception.

A range of activities are available for students in both Primary and Secondary departments. Activities take place mainly after school for up to one hour and include a variety of sporting and academic Clubs, where students are encouraged to enhance skills, enjoy friendly competition, develop socially and have fun. As buses are not provided, please arrange to collect your child after their activity.

Students should arrive at school no earlier than 7.00 a.m. Kindergarten and Reception students finish at 1.00 p.m. and Primary and Secondary students end their day at 2.15 p.m. All students are expected to be punctual and ready to learn well. Any absence must be accompanied by a letter explaining the reasons, and where necessary, a Doctor’s note or certificate. Attendance has a direct impact on learning, grades and reports, and any unexplained absence is not tolerated. If a student is absent over 15 days, the Ministry of Education is informed. A call to inform us of your child’s absence is always appreciated and we will make every effort to contact you if absence persists for two days or more.

Kuwait International English School runs a House system that is designed to give students a sense of belonging and promote personal development and healthy competition, both academic and sporting. House points (Primary) and Merits (Secondary) are given as rewards for achievement, effort, caring, or simply helping. All students are allocated a House and a House Tutor with whom they can identify and belong. The Houses are:
K - Kings (Yellow)
I - Imperial (Blue)
E - Emperor (Green)
S - Sovereign (Red)

House colour ties are available from the uniform shop and should be worn at all times.
